It was quite a treat for me to meet you, your coach and especially your caddie at the Greenbrier Classic! Good job with ALL four rounds under par! Hopefully this will give you some momentum for the rest of the year. From one of your newest, biggest fans, Randy Lucas

Randy Lucas

Hello Randy, good to meet you too and glad you enjoyed the golf so much at Greenbrier. I feel my game is coming along nicely right now and am looking forward to the rest of the season. Kind regards, Jeev.

Jeev, I just wanted to drop a line to say I am a big fan after playing in the Pro-Am at the Wyndham Championship a couple of years ago at Sedgefield Country Club. I was so impressed with how professional and down to Earth you treated our entire group. It is a golf memory that I will cherish the rest of my life. I love the site and it will be great to keep up with you on it. Good luck on the tour this year and know I will be cheering you on. Robin Keith, North Carolina

Robin Keith

Dear Robin, many thanks for your message. I'm so pleased that you enjoyed yourself so much in the Pro-Am with me at the Wyndham when it was at Sedgefield. As a pro I think it's really important to make sure your amateur team really enjoy the day. Hope your golf is going well. Regards, Jeev.

Jeev, Congrats on getting your 2010 PGA Card. I have been watching your progress for the past several years since meeting you through Katie Coop at Nike Golf. I am looking forward to watching you play on the PGA tour this year. Good Luck!

Geremy Popp

Hello Geremy, thank you for the message - I am really enjoying my time playing the PGA Tour and thank you for your kind support. Regards, Jeev.

Hello Mr. Singh, Thanks for coming to play in the USA. I really enjoy watching you. I think you have a very smooth swing and you dress very nice. I look forward to seeing you win a tournament THIS YEAR ! Good luck and may God bless you. P.S. I hope to see you someday and get your autograph, that would be an inspiration to me and my game.

Michael Weisner

Hello Michael, thank you very much for the message. I really enjoy playing golf in the USA and am enjoying my year as a member of the PGA Tour. I hope your golf is going well. Regards, Jeev.

Hey Jeev!! Congrats on your Callaway endorsement! I'm a name expert & saw the article about you in the Wall Street Journal .. so since I'm a name expert I thought it would be fun to tell you a little bit about yourself .. .1st off - you're going to be good looking, you have an amazing will power, your independent & have a keen sense of humbleness! Your parents did a great job naming you:) Kerri Hopkins from Namezook

Kerri Hopkins

Hello Kerri, well that certainly is most interesting and it's left me feeling very good about myself! I definitely have my parents to thank! Regards, Jeev.

Dear Jeev, Congratulations on getting back to the Top 50 in the world with the change in the ranking rules! Wishing you a very Happy New Year and a lot of success in 2010. Hopefully we will see you climb further in the rankings this year. With regards, Rahul.

Rahul Jain

Dear Rahul, many thanks for the message and I wish you and your family a happy and healthy 2010. As of today I'm moved back to 55th in the World Rankings but I shall certainly be aiming to get higher than that in the coming months. Kind Regards, Jeev.

Hi Jeev, first of all a very happy new year to you. Congratulations for getting the PGA tour card for this year and all the best for the Royal Trophy tournament. My question to you is that during the Mission Hills World cup you partnerned Jyoti Randhawa, and during the foursomes matches whose balls were you using for playing as Jyoti and you play different manufacterer balls? Also did both of you made some adjustments according to it? Thank you!

Saptarshi Chakraborty

Dear Saptarshi, In professional team golf you play a two ball rule so all we did was in the greensomes was I hit his ball off the tee and then Jyoti hit mine off the tee and then whoever had the second shot in always had an iron shot with their own ball so sometimes I would have my ball hitting into the green and Jyoti would have his though if Jyoti missed the green with his ball I then had to chip with it as that's the way greensomes work. And then in the foursomes it's the same thing so if I was hitting the tee shot I'd hit Jyoti's ball so he could hit his ball to the green and if he was hitting the tee shot it would be the other way round! So in effect we both played our own balls which you are allowed to do in team events as professionals. We didn't have to make any massive adjustments at all. The Royal Trophy was a very good close contest which we all enjoyed but we would have enjoyed it more if we had won! Happy new year and kind regards, Jeev.

Hello Jeev. I hope the rumours are true and that you've accepted your PGA Tour card for 2010? Does this mean we can count on seeing more of you in North America this year? Dave Carr.

Dave Carr

Dear Dave, yes I will be a member of the 2010 PGA Tour and am very much looking forward to the challenge of playing in the USA on a more regular basis. Happy New Year, Kind Regards, Jeev.

Hi Jeev, I'm a big fan I love your attitude and the way you play golf. I think it's brilliant that you actually answer these questions. I am 16 years old I am a keen golfer and play to about 15 handicap. I have just done my GCSEs and I am now doing my A Levels. How would you juggle your studies and golf. Or how did u juggle your studies when you played golf at a young age. Thanks a lot keep up the great work and I'm watching you in the matchplay so good luck!

Will McOnie

Dear Will, thank you for writing in. Although I had a pretty convincing win against Lee Westwood, things didn't really go my way after that and I didn't progress further than the group stage. I think it's great that you have got to 15 handicap at your age, especially when you have been doing your GCSE's. I think you should really concentrate hard on your A Levels and get good grades in them. If you have any spare time you can then practice and play golf. I attended Abilene Christian University in the United States of America on a scholarship and obtained a degree in business and international studies and was able to combine golf and studying which was perfect for me. Gpod luck, Jeev.

Dear Mr.Singh, I am 11 years old. Golf is my favourite sport. I admire you a lot. Please can you give me any tips on putting and why you hole so many putts. Iman Hansra

Iman Hansra

Hello Iman, I think good putting is really down to keeping your head very still, having a gentle grip on the putter and making sure that you have a very smooth stroke and really concentrating on the line and length of your putt. I guess I hole quite a lot of putts because I've been doing it for a long time now and I always make sure that I practice as much as I can. Kind regards, Jeev.

I am 7 years old. I enjoy golf a lot. I have a lesson in a group once a week for an hour. Is there any advice you can give me to progress. I have not yet played a full round, only par 3's

Jay Singh Pandhal

Hello Jay, it's wonderful that you are seven and taking group lessons. I think at your age you are doing just the right thing and whilst you have not played a full round as yet I would use the Par Three course and practice on there as much as you can. If all goes well you could maybe get some private coaching to progress more. I wish you the best of luck. Kind regards, Jeev.

Dear Mr. Singh, I am a south-zone level player and I am 12 years old. I will be going for a tournament in Mysore and I feeling nervous. How do I stop feeling nervous? I followed all your shots on the internet at the Turning Stone Resort Championship. You played very well and next year you should be in the top 20 in the world rankings. NIKHIL KAPUR

Nikhil Kapur

Dear Nikhil, if you are going into the tournament at Mysore you must be a good player so you must trust your golf swing and keep the nerves at bay. Just concentrate on one shot at a time, make sure you take plenty of liquid, eat bananas and nuts to keep your energy up and above all enjoy yourself. If you get into a tricky situation you must not panic but take your time, think carefully and take a few deep breaths as this will lower your heart rate and make sure you are focused. I wish you the best of luck and hope that you do well. Kind regards, Jeev.

Dear Jeev, I was looking forward to seeing you at the President's Cup and am disappointed to miss seeing you in San Francisco. It's unfortunate that your injury happened at the wrong time and you just missed out. I really enjoyed seeing your coverage on TV at Doral and at the Masters with Tiger. As one of your ardent fans I wish you all the best for the remaining year and for 2010...I hope we will see you in the Top 10 in the world in 2010; not just in the "Rest of the World" rankings. Please keep up the great performances. With best wishes and regards, Rahul

Rahul Jain

Dear Rahul, thank for your your message - yes I am obviously disappointed not to make the President's Cup team and my injury was certainly at a bad time. Glad you're enjoying watching the golf and thanks for you support - very much appreciated. Regards, Jeev

Hi Jeev, I am 32 years old and have just started taking interest in the game and i am planning to start it soon. May you get well soon and make Indian as well as the sikh community proud. Warm Regards.

Harpreet Singh Karir

Dear Harpreet, it's just great that you are taking up the game, I wish you well with it and remember to get someone good to coach you. My injury is on the mend and will be back firing on all cylinders very soon. Kind regards, Jeev.

Hi Jeev, I am 34 year old, have started playing golf around 8 months ago only. I really wish I could have started earlier. I practise around 4 times a week (for around 2 hrs and 200 hits with various clubs) and want to seriously pursue this sport. Do you see some future for someone in my situation? What would be your advice to me? Warm Regards Manu

Manu Sharma

Dear Manu, provided you get some lessons from a good teaching professional I would definitely say that you could really get to enjoy your golf. It's always good to practice and it seems like you are doing plenty of that. Good luck, Regards, Jeev.

HI JEEV, This is Venkat from Tiruppur, the famous hosiery town in Tamil nadu,India. I have been following your tournaments on the web and on tv for the last couple of years. You are doing a great job in keeping the Indian flag flying in the world of golf single handedly. I have not yet touched a golf club in my life(i am 38 years old), but from whatever golfing knowledge i have, you can compete with anybody in the world, from tee to green. If you become confident and consistent in your putting, you can win any tournament in the world, including the majors. All the best for your success at Bethpage Black in the US OPEN, and also for your efforts to get your US PGA TOUR CARD for 2010. Best wishes for a long, happy and blissful family life to you and Kudrat. Yours friendly, VENKAT

Venkatachalam Palaniswamy

Dear Venkat, thank you for you kind message. I am extremely proud of my heritage and it is wonderful that my sport allows me to carry my country around the world. I'm not alone out there as Jyoti Rhandawa, SSP and Shiv are also out there representing India worldwide. Thank you very much for your support. Kind regards, Jeev.

Hey Jeev, Recently I travellled up to Kent with my Dad to watch the European open, I originally intended upon watching the young big aratic hitters like Rory and Alvaro; however you really caught my eye and myself and my dad were impressed with your rhythm and tempo. Do you believe that tempo is what the swing is really about? And what sort of yardage are you making with your driver? All the best Ryan

Ryan Sears

Hello Ryan, it was great that you came to watch at The London Club and feel most honoured that you watched me instead of those young guns!!! I think the tempo of the swing is very important in the game of golf and I work hard on this aspect of the game. My current average Driving Distance this year is 290.94 yards. Thank you for writing in. Kind Regards, Jeev.

Dear Jeev, Seeing you striding victoriously all over the world"s fairways is an inspiration to any sportsperson regardless of sport. Please keep up the good work. May god bless you with good health and fortune. Best wishes for a major. Balaji(proud golfer and indian)

Balaji Ramanathan

Dear Balaji, many many thinks for your kind message - it is wonderful that I receive so much support in my career and I really appreciate your message. Hopefully a Major will come my way! Kind regards, Jeev.

Dear Jeev, It is fantastic to see such a well-maintained site and kudos to ISM for setting this up....Please do keep us posted regularly... Don't know if i will get a reply so just thought i would pass on my wishes for a great showing this past week in London. Hopefully it will get better in the coming weeks. Sridhar

Sridhar Natarajan

Dear Sridhar, thank you so much for sending in your message. I certainly do try and make sure that the site is updated regularly. I enjoyed the European Open in London but on the final day things didn't really go my way and too many putts escaped the hole. Your support is much apprediated. Kind Regards, Jeev

Hi Jeev, I have been following you for a while now, you are a true inspiration for anybody looking to take up golf. I have only just started playing a few months ago but I look up to you as a role model and I can dream that one day I will maybe play with you. You were unlucky at the Masters in Augusta, it was a pleasure to watch you though. I would love one day for you to come to play at Penwortham Golf Club in England where I am now a member. That would be a dream come true! I wish you luck for the next few tournaments, I can see you winning one soon. You are a true gent and a true inspiration. Thank you Jeev :) From Danny

Danny Monkman

Hello Danny, thank you so much for your complimentary message - I'll be getting very bigheaded! It's great news that you have taken up golf - and I really hope that you are enjoying this wonderful game. I wish I had time to play more social golf but these days what with commitments to sponors, a hectic schedule and plenty of travelling I just have to keep concentrating on my tournaments. Good luck and hope you do well. Kind regards, Jeev

Hey Jeev, What is your favorite clothing brand?

Stephen Garcia

Hi Stephen, this is an easy question to answer! It's an Indian designer called Rajesh Pratak whose clothes are just fantastic. Regards, Jeev.

And what a proud moment for us all Indians to see you tee it up with 2 of the favourites to win this years Masters. Since u are our favourite, that makes it the group out of which will emerge the winner. Go Jeev Go...Good luck and all our prayers are with you. Green Jacket wants to tour India, so please help.

Saji Varghese

Just watched your round today, 4/9, at the Masters and love your game! What is your caddy's name? I have a Physical Therapist here in Michigan, Ajay Barghava, and he is from India and he is great...and has 2 sons who seem to be interested in golf and you will be a great role-model for them...they live close to the Michigan State University campus where Jack Newman, the low amateur, goes to school!

Ednsandy L

Hello there, my caddie is called Jan Squire, we've worked together for a while now and she is an excellent caddie. The Masters didn't go as I had planned and I missed the halfway cut by just one shot. It's great to hear that you physical therapist has two young sons interested in golf - so many youngsters are taking an interest in the game now which is so good for the sport. Kind regard, Jeev

Hello Jeev, I sorely missed you on the last day of the Shell Open in Houston but I wish you all the luck for the Masters from Thursday and what a lucky draw - playing with Tiger Woods, I am happy that the cameras cannot ignore you, anymore:) :) Fingers crossed, praying and eagerly watching for your success at Augusta. Prakash Chavali

Chavali Prakash

Hi Jeev! Very very best of luck for the Masters. Great pairing for you in the first 2 rounds with "Legendary" Tiger Woods and Stewart Cink. I want you wearing that green jacket!!! ;-)

Dhaval Tamhane

Hello Dhaval, thank you for your message - I am certainly looking forward to playing with Tiger amd Stewart at Augusta and think it will be a great experience. Regards, Jeev

Hi Jeev, Congratulations on T4 finish at Doral. It was really a proud moment to see you over Tiger woods n others.... All the very best for the Masters, I know you are in great form these days and on the way of making history in Indian golf. Let start with Masters...

Arunesh Kumar

Hi Jeev.First of all congratulations for the great results you are getting on the U.S Tour. All the best for the Masters. The whole country is proud of you.I as always would be praying for you,and waiting for your next blog. This website is a fantastic medium through which we,the fans can get up close with you. My question to you is can you explain the concept behind the par three tournament held a day before the Masters and what does the winner get?

Saptarshi Chakraborty

Dear Saptarshi, I'm really glad you are enjoying the website and I will be updating my blog shortly! The par 3 competition at the Masters is always held on the Wednesday and you have to be invited to play in it - I think it was first played in 1960 and was won by Sam Snead so it's a very historical event and the winner will receive a memorable gift. I think I'm also right in saying that anyone who has won the par three event has never won the actual tournament! Kind regards, Jeev

Dear Jeev! I am also a professional golfer and I play in the Indian circuit. I wish you all the best in ur US tour, I am trying to follow ur footsteps so I can reach in there some day.

Abhishek Mitra

Dear Abhishek, thanks for writing in and if you put in the practice and work hard you can achieve your dream. Very good luck to you. Jeev

Hi Jeev. I know this is a silly superstitious question but I had to ask. I've noticed you do well whenever you wear hot pink. You wore it on the first day of the PGA Championship and ended tied for the lead. You wore it on the last day of the Barclays Singapore Open and won. The same thing happened at the Golf Nippon Series JT Cup and then you wore it on the last day of the WGC-CA Championship only to finish 4th. So do you believe it's lucky for you or is this just a weird coincidence?:)

Sahil Mathur

Hello there Sahil, thank you for writng in with your interesting question. I think I just feel good in a hot pink. Let's say its a Sunday favorite! It's not superstition but it is associated with good thoughts and memories. so I think it makes me have a positive mind state. Kind regards, Jeev.

Dear Jeev Sir, Many congratulations to you for your success at the WGC CA Championship at Doral... Looking forward to seeing you at the Masters at Augusta. Wish you all the best. ADITI ASHOK, 10, BANGALORE, INDIA

Aditi Ashok

Hello Aditi, thanks for your message. I really enjoyed Doral and am looking forward very much to the Masters at Augusta. Regards, Jeev.

Jeev, I played with you in the pro/am last year at the Wyndham Championships in Greensboro, NC in the pouring rain and I have been following your career ever since. I just wanted to congratulate you on the 4th place finish at the CA championships this past weekend. You looked like you had the game really going. Glad you were able to put up such a strong showing and I am a big fan of yours. Congratulations! I hope you are planning more US appearances this year as I think you have a great game for a lot of our courses over here. I was proud to have shared that day with you, miserable conditions not withstanding.

Joel Tew

Hi Joel, yes I remember that day well - the weather was most unkind! Yes I am planning on playing more in the US this year and my next tournament is the Arnold Palmer International which I'm really looking forward to. I'm very impressed with your dedication - I think a lot of people would have given up watching and playing golf after that day!! Regards, Jeev

Dear Jeev, Congratulations on your 4th position finish at the CA world golf championship. I was glued to the TV and it was fantastic to see you among the top in leaderboard. Wish you continued success. What according to you could have made you the winner here, especially when you were the leader on day 1 and never slipped too far behind?

Rajiv Bajaj

Dear Rajiv, many thanks for the message. I made too many bogeys and too many errant shots to contend but that is part of the game. I holed some putts I wasn't supposed to so I will definitely take fourth place here, one of my best finishes in the US so I have to be happy with that and will give me inspiration for my upcoming tournaments. Kind regards, Jeev.

Great finish -T4 at Doral. You know you can do better and I can't wait to follow your tournaments. Does Kudrat follow you on these US tournaments? You are lucky to have a great Father and a wonderful wife.

Chai Gadde

Hello there Chai, thank you for your messages. I was very pleased to finish in 4th spot at Doral and that performance will definitely inspire me for future events as I know I can compete with the best in the world. Kudrat supports me everywhere I go and it's great having her with me and also having the great support from my family and friends and I most certainly count myself very lucky indeed. Kind regards, Jeev.

Hi Jeev! Many many congratulations to you for finishing 4th in the WGC-CA Championship. Tussi chha gaye... But, frankly speaking I am not satisfied. I want you to win big tournaments, and yes, especially MAJORS. Come on Jeev! Become the first Asian to win a major. Best of luck for year 2009!!!

Dhaval Tamhane

He Dhaval, thanks for that! I can assure that I shall be doing everything possible to make sure that one day this happens. Thank you for your support. Regards, Jeev

Hi Jeev. I was never into golf and last year I was just flipping through TV channels and I saw that you were leading at the Enjoy Jakarta Astro Indonesia Open. Ever since, I've become quite of a golf addict and I've been following your career pretty closely and am your biggest supporter! I was overjoyed when I saw that you were leading the WGC-CA Championship! I know you had a bad back 9 on the second day. I hope you do well and grab a win in the US this year. Cheers!

Sahil Mathur

Dear Sahil, it's great that you have got into golf and especially supporting me - so thank you for that. I am playing more in the US this year and it certainly would be great to have a win there. Kind regards, Jeev.
